About

What Is Epizyn?

Epizyn is the leading zinc based skin care topical product today. Epizyn is a zinc gluconate, counter-irritant topical. Unlike other skin care products which use zinc oxide or zinc pyrithione, Epizyn has a higher level of bioavailability (more zinc into your skin at a cellular level). Epizyn can provide quick relief from itching and drying, resulting from raw and damaged skin with only 6 base ingredients. It also can be used in conjunction with steroidal and other prescription treatments without issue.

It has been proven successful in treating a broad spectrum of dermatology cases, and is recommended by doctors to help the following skin related ailments: cuts, burns, scar tissue, HSV1, HSV2, shingles, dry/cracked skin, sunburn, dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, diaper rash, cradle cap and more! It is recommended for children and infants because there are no harsh or toxic chemicals that could jeopardize the safety of the child.

Our mission is to offer quality natural health products at an affordable cost.

About Zinc

Zinc is an essential trace mineral needed by the body for proper growth and maintenance. While zinc is involved in many functions of the body, including enzyme activity, protein synthesis and carbohydrate metabolism, it is also beneficial to the skin. It aids in collagen production, decreases free radical activity, helps prevent the growth of bacteria and reduces inflammation. Unfortunately, Zinc is a fairly hard mineral for the body to absorb, and there are a number of compounds that actually inhibit the absorption of zinc. The problem then is that often times getting enough zinc to a specific area of the skin can be difficult. That's when a bioavailable topical such as Epizyn is required. Epizyn uses exclusively Zinc gluconate, which has been proven in countless studies to be the most bioavailable zinc compound.

Epizyn as a topical will increase the body's zinc level. Zinc gluconate, a form for the delivery of zinc, has been confirmed to aid in the healing of skin conditions based on clinical studies.

Is Epizyn Safe? What's In It?

Epizyn's original formula is safe to use around even the eyes and in the mouth, and has wide margins of safety with a pH range of 6.8 - 7.2. Epizyn contains no alcohol and should be painless and tissue friendly. Epizyn should rapidly assist in the body's natural capability to restore skin back to its natural state without any known side effects.

The ingredients in Epizyn are: deionized water, glycerin, zinc gluconate,L-lysine, Taurine, Carboxymethylcellulose, Euxyl PE9010.

To create greater bioavailability topically, we introduced Taurine to the formula. Taurine has a number of functions in the body, but the one that we are interested in is cellular membrane stabilization. The Taurine greatly increases the effectiveness of Zinc Gluconate topically, allowing Epizyn to work at the microcellular level.

L-Lysine is an essential amino acid, meaning that it is not synthesized in animals and must be delivered to the body from an outside source. Though we typically get enough L-Lysine from high protein foods like beef, fish, cheese, and nuts/seeds, it is still highly beneficial to use L-Lysine topically. L-Lysine has been shown to assist the body greatly in wound recovery, as well as recovery from sores and irritation (like HSV1 & HSV2) making it a desirable component for our formula.

Euxyl PE 9010 is a liquid preservative based on phenoxyethanol and the multifunctional additive Ethylhexyglycerin Euxyl PE 9010 is mild preservative; globally approved for use in leave-on and rinse-off products; contains no controversial materials; is free of sensitizers, pH-stable, temperature-stable and compatible with most leave-on personal care formulas; may be inactivated by high levels of ethoxylated surfactants in rinse-off products. Euxyl PE 9010 is equally effective against bacteria, yeasts and mold fungi. It is atypically biostatic product with the biocidal properties necessary for practical use. This gives Epizyn further antimicrobial properties aiding in the protection of wounds and disinfection in areas of use.

Deionized Water is water that has the ions removed. Tap water is usually full of ions from the soil (Na+,Ca2+),from the pipes (Fe2+,Cu2+), and other sources. Water is usually deionized by using an ion exchange process. It is very stable and pure.

Glycerin is a colorless, odorless, viscous liquid that is widely used in pharmaceutical formulations. Glycerin has three hydroxyl groups that are responsible for its solubility in water and its hygroscopic nature (holds moisture). The glycerin backbone is central to all lipids known as triglycerides. Glycerol is sweet-tasting and is non-toxic and stable.

Carboxymethyl Cellulose aka CMC is actually the sodium salt of carboxymethyl cellulose. It is essentially a salt based lubricant that is often used in eye moisturizers and medications.

CMC is used as a viscosity modifier or thickener, and to stabilize emulsions in various products including ice cream. CMC is known for its excellent water retaining capacity.

What about Lidocaine and Camphor?

Lidocaine is a topical anesthetic that causes numbness or loss of feeling temporarily.  It deadens the nerve endings in the skin for allowing application of Epizyn and makes for a more comfortable healing process.  *DO NOT USE AROUND THE EYES OR MOUTH.

Camphor is a powder that originally came from the bark and wood of the camphor tree.  It is all natural and gives you all the same benefits of Epizyn, plus added analgesic properties.  *DO NOT USE AROUND THE EYES. Some camphor products of 12% or higher can lead to camphor toxicity levels.  This is usually found by ingesting products high in camphor (i.e. Vicks).  However, Epizyn at 1% is very safe even around the mouth for the helping to heal cold sores.
